Scherrie Payne & Susaye Greene, Former Ladies of The Supremes with Joyce Vincent made a triumphant return to the stage on Saturday, November 7th 2020 at the 20th Century Theater in Cincinnati Ohio.
The Ladies headlined the "Legends Showcase" a benefit gala for "Rosemary's Babies." Rosemary's Babies is a teen parent and family support organization that supports mom's and dad's ages 13-19 years old. The live audience was limited to 50 people who wore masks and were #SociallyDistanced. Since the audience numbers were limited the show was #LiveStreamed for home viewing.
The Ladies' 60 minute set included The Supremes' biggest hits of the 1960's and 1970's including "Stop In The Name of Love," You Can't Hurry Love, "Stoned Love" and "I'm Gonna Let My Heart Do the Walking" and many more. The ladies also included their tribute to Joyce's legacy as a member of Tony Orlando & Dawn with a medley of "Knock Three Times" & "Tie A Yellow Ribbon Around The Ole Oak Tree."
The Former Ladies of The Supremes' anthem of "How Do You Keep The Music Playing?" earned the Ladies an enthusiastic standing ovation mid show. Lastly, Scherrie, Susaye & Joyce closed their set with the feel good song "Happy" originally recorded by Pharrell Williams. A great time was had by all and the ladies enjoyed their #Supreme & #Triumphant return to the stage.
A special thank you to "Rosemary's Babies" founder and CEO Rosemary Oglesby-Henry!
