6.14.2022 ON THIS DAY IN THE YEAR 2000...Diana Ross & The Supremes (L-R Lynda Laurence, Scherrie Payne, and Diana Ross) opened their national summer "RETURN TO LOVE" tour at Philadelphia's Union Spectrum. -June 14, 2000  On June 12th 1977 Mary Wilson performed her final farewell show with The Supremes (Scherrie Payne & Susaye Greene) at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London, England. Mary Wilson announced that she would be going solo and that Scherrie Payne and Susaye Greene would be continuing as The Supremes with a new member. It was later reported that Scherrie and Susaye chose Joyce Vincent as their third member. Unfortunately Motown later decided to retire The Supremes before Joyce officially joined the trio. In 2017, forty years later, the trio of Scherrie, Susaye & Joyce materialized. Today Scherrie & Susaye, Former Ladies of The Supremes with Joyce Vincent entertain audiences worldwide and keep the legacy of The Supremes alive! #KeepTheMusicPlaying Enjoy the photos and clippings from The Supremes' final farewell performance in 1977.
