Today we are looking back to the summer of 2000 when The Former Ladies of THE SUPREMES' Scherrie Payne & Lynda Laurence joined Diana Ross for their "Diana Ross & The Supremes - Return To Love" tour. Diana Ross and the Supremes are back! Diana Ross & The Supremes announced their "Return To Love" arena tour at Grand Central Terminal in New York on April 4th 2000. The tour starts June 14th in Philadelphia and ends on Aug. 15th in Las Vegas. Miss Ross took pains to say that the tour was not a reunion. The Supremes, Lynda Laurence and Scherrie Payne, joined the group in 1972 (Laurence) and 1973 (Payne) respectively. Miss Ross had not performed alongside this new line-up of Supremes until they taped their appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Former Motown Supreme, Lynda Laurence was a special surprise guest and the Former Ladies of The Supremes performed a tribute to their "Supreme sister" Mary Wilson. The Ladies performed a few of Mary's 1970's Supremes classics "Floy Joy" and "Touch." A loving tribute to "The Supreme, Supreme Ms. Mary Wilson." The rousing audience cheered the ladies all night and gave them several standing ovations. Some of the highlights included Scherrie Payne’s slow version of “My World Is Empty Without You,” a tribute to Lamont Dozier, of Holland-Dozier-Holland fame, and a medley of “You’ve Changed/I Can’t Help It”. “I Can’t help it” was written by Stevie Wonder and Susaye Greene and was recorded by Michael Jackson Surprise guest, Lynda Laurence, formerly of The Supremes joined the ladies for a tribute to original Supreme Mary Wilson. The ladies performed “Floy Joy” and “Touch” in honor of their “Supreme sister." Scherrie, Susaye and Joyce received a standing ovation for their stellar performance of “How Do You Keep The Music Playing”. This song has become The Former Ladies of The Supremes’ anthem. The Ladies closed the show with the uplifting song “happy”. Which had the audience dancing and clapping along. The ladies left the stage to another standing ovation. On Saturday, February 10th 2024 Scherrie Payne's "TEN GOOD YEARS" opened to a SOLD OUT audience at The Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in Hollywood, CA.. "Ten Good Years" was originally written as a musical. Scherrie converted it into a stage play that was directed by Don B. Welch. The SOLD OUT audience was mesmerized by the amazing actors, and storyline. Many of Scherrie's friends and family were in attendance supporting her including her "Supreme Sisters" Lynda Laurence & Susaye Greene, with Joyce Vincent. Also in attendance were Freda Payne, Gloria Hendry, Telma Hopkins, Brian Holland and many more. A fantastic evening was had by everyone. Congratulation Scherrie on another SOLD OUT stage play!
